Debbie Busby

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and love it’s beauty. I love to hand stitch and was introduced to it by my grandmother. I stitched clothing for my children when they were young and then moved into sewing crafts for bazaars with my mother.
I began designing wool applique patterns using hand dyed wools in 2002 and started my business Wooden Spool Designs. When I am not stitching, dying wool, teaching, or creating new patterns I love to garden, go to the beach, and spend time with my grandchildren.
I have taught wool applique classes around the states and in Australia, spoken at guilds, designed for several different publications, vended at Quilt Shows, and participated in International Quilt Market since I started my business.
I have been married for 41 years, have 2 grown married children and 6 grandchildren and two labs.

Debbie will be giving a talk on Saturday evening at Salem Heights Hall, as well as demonstrating throughout the weekend.
