Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and love it’s beauty. I love to hand stitch and was introduced to it by my grandmother. I stitched clothing for my children when they were young and then moved into sewing crafts for bazaars with my mother.I began designing wool applique patterns using hand dyed wools in 2002 and started my business Wooden Spool Designs. When I am not stitching, dying wool, teaching, or creating new patterns I love to garden, go to the beach, and spend time with my grandchildren.I have taught wool applique classes around the states and in Australia, spoken at guilds, designed for several different publications, vended at Quilt Shows, and participated in International Quilt Market since I started my business.I have been married for 41 years, have 2 grown married children and 6 grandchildren and two labs.
Debbie will be giving a talk on Saturday evening at Salem Heights Hall, as well as demonstrating throughout the weekend.
